How irresponsible and incorrect is that? The Official Reciever would pick up on thsi straight away!!

ARE YOUR COMPANIES ASSETS PROTECTED?? IF YOU HAVE A DIRECTORS LOAN ACCOUNT THEY PROBABLY AREN'T!

Did you know that a Directors Loan Account does NOT give protection to your assets if your company fails? A lot of people don’t know this and are under the pretence that they are covered. If you have a Directors Loan Account and your company fails you will just be treated like any other unsecured creditor and as such cannot give yourself preferential treatment!

WINDING-UP PETITIONS! IT ISN'T THE END!

Today i have been advising someone who had recieved a Winding-Up Petition from the court. Obviously when they recieved it they were panic stricken; problems had been building up over the last 6 months and they had been burying their heads in the sands and trying to keep their heads aflot by "robbing Peter to pay Paul" - only trouble was "Peter" had run out of money!

A creditor had finally had enough and decided to issue a Winding-Up Petition.

What people don't realise is that a Winding-Up Petition doesn't have to mean it is the end of your business - you just need to get the right advice!

KNOCK, KNOCK! THE BAILIFFS ARE COMING.........

Yesterday seemed to be the day that everyone was having problems with BAILIFFS! I was inundated with calls from people worrying that they’d had a letter from a bailiff firm or that the bailiffs were calling. Understandably they were all worried!

The thing with bailiffs is to remember that they have no real power and that you do NOT have to let them in, no matter what they tell you! If they do turn up don’t panic, stay calm and speak to them outside (closing the door behind you) or from a window. Don’t be intimidated by them.
